Biography

The Federal Reserve Board sought me out to help resolve the Savings & Loan crisis during the late 1980's by serving with the Resolution Trust Corporation, a temporary government agency established by Congress. I served as Managing Agent of the 12th largest Savings & Loan in the country, then as Supervisory Managing Agent over sixteen other Savings & Loans.

Throughout my career, I utilized computer technology and modern management techniques to bring about the kind of changes that are sorely needed in the Assessor's office. My opponent in this race has worked in that office for about 15 years and should be able to provide major assistance in accomplishing the modernization. She would then be in an excellent position to run for the position in four years.

I graduated 5th in my class at the University of Virginia with a BS degree in Accounting, and have served on numerous community and civic organizations, including the Board of the Jefferson County Development Authority, where I am serving my third term.

I would proudly serve as Jefferson County's Assessor, ensuring that the citizens of the county would receive fair and courteous treatment, online access to forms and information, digitized and interactive tax maps, published processes and procedures, and more.
